1.3.1.1. Launch of the engine by means of a usual key

If the steering wheel is blocked for the purpose of prevention of stealing of the car, the key can be taken out from the ignition lock if the switch of ignition is in the provision of "LOCK" (blocking).

1. The driver and all passengers who are in the car have to fasten the corresponding seat belts.

2. Check that the parking brake was switched on.

3. Press a brake pedal.

4. If you have a car with the mechanical transmission, completely press a pedal of coupling and transfer the gear shifting lever to neutral situation. Hold a coupling pedal in completely pressed situation in operating time of a starter.

If you have a car with automatic transmission, transfer the lever of the switch of ranges to situation "P" (parking). If it is necessary to start the engine on the run of the car, transfer the lever of the switch of ranges to situation "N" (neutral).

NOTE For cars with automatic transmission: – inclusion of a starter is blocked if the lever of the switch of ranges is not in situation "P" (parking) or "N" (neutral).

5. Turn the ignition switch in situation "START" (starter) and hold the handle in this situation before launch of the engine (but not longer 10 c).

6. After start-up let's the engine work idling about 10 pages.

NOTE If the key turns in the ignition lock hardly, shake a steering wheel here and there to unload the locking element.

In this position of the switch of ignition the steering wheel is not locked, and electric power supply of auxiliary devices is provided.

The switch of ignition is in this situation during the operation of the engine after its start-up. Before launch of the engine it is necessary to check a condition of signaling devices.

NOTE For cars with the petrol engine: – at turn of the switch of ignition in the provision of "ON" (ignition is included) it is possible to hear the noise of the working fuel pump proceeding from a zone of an arrangement of the fuel tank. It is the normal phenomenon and does not testify to malfunction of the car. For the cars equipped with the automatic proofreader of headlights: – at turn of the switch of ignition in the provision of "ON" (ignition is included) it is possible to hear the noise of the working electric drive of the proofreader of headlights proceeding from a forward part of a motor compartment. It is the normal phenomenon and does not testify to malfunction of the car.

In this situation the engine starter joins. The starter continues to work until you hold the ignition key in situation "START". After an otpuskaniye the ignition key comes back to the provision of "ON" (ignition is included).
