2.8.2. Replacement of cooling liquid of the engine

Stop the engine and let's it cool down.
Even in this case at removal of a cover it is necessary to show care. Wrap up thick fabric around a cover and slowly turn it counterclockwise to the first limiter. Depart from a radiator for the period of dumping of pressure.
When you are sure that pressure decreased, press on a cover, having wrapped up it fabric, turn and remove it.

ATTENTION
Cooling liquid of the engine damages a paint and varnish covering.
If cooling liquid of the engine got on the painted surface, immediately wash away it.

Uncover a broad tank of the cooling system (fig. 2.305).

Remove the lower cover.

Turn off a drain stopper of a radiator and merge cooling liquid of the engine in a container (fig. 2.306).
Wash out the cooling system water under pressure, before decolouration of water at the exit.
Let's water flow down completely from system.
Tighten a drain stopper of a radiator.
Inhaling moment: 1,2–1,5 N · m.
Choose concentration of antifreeze according to the provided table 2.34.
Add cooling liquid in a broad tank of the cooling system to a maximum tag.
Establish a cooling system cover.

ATTENTION
If the arrow of the index of temperature of cooling liquid came into a red zone, stop the engine and wait until it cools down to prevent an overheat.
After that reveal a faulty element and repair or replace it.

Start the engine and leave it to idle until the arrow of the index of temperature is is in the center of a scale, and the frequency of rotation of the engine will be less than 1500 min.-1.
After the engine gets warm, execute the following, controlling temperature of cooling liquid of the engine the thermometer.
Let's the engine work for 2500 min.-1 within 5 min.
Let's the engine work for 3000 min.-1 during 5 with, and then leave it to idle.
Again let's work to the engine for 3000 min.-1 during 5 about two times.
Stop the engine and let's it cool down.
Check the level of cooling liquid.
If level low, add cooling liquid in a broad tank of the cooling system to a maximum tag.
Be convinced of lack of leak of cooling liquid.
In the presence of leak, define a defective part and repair or replace it.
