1.4.4.16. Charge of the rechargeable battery

Before serving or charging the rechargeable battery, kill the engine of the car and switch off everything consumers of the electric power. to disconnect the rechargeable battery from onboard electric network, disconnect the plug from a negative contact conclusion of the battery. At connection of the rechargeable battery to onboard network attach the plug to a negative conclusion of the battery in the last turn. Before charging the rechargeable battery, be convinced that it is uncovered.
If the rechargeable battery was discharged for rather short time, for example because headlights burned too long at the idle engine, it is necessary to charge the battery for an appreciable length of time with small charging current which size depends on the capacity of the battery and power of the charger. If the rechargeable battery is discharged gradually because of high electric loading in use of the car, it is necessary to charge the battery with normal charging current which size depends on the capacity of the battery and power of the charger.
