2.2.4.5. Adjustment of thermal gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves

Disconnect a negative wire of the rechargeable battery.
Remove the right wheel.
Remove the right mudguard.
Turn out spark plugs.
Disconnect a high-voltage wire.
Disconnect the socket of the operating oil valve (OCV).
Remove a ventilation hose.
Uncover a head of the block of cylinders. Make sure that the engine cold.
Take off a driving belt.
Remove the right integrated shaft from the intermediate driveshaft.

Fig. 2.78. Lower cap of a forward cover of the engine: 1 – cap

Remove the lower cap of a forward cover of the engine (fig. 2.78).
Remove the top cap of a forward cover of the engine.

Fig. 2.79. Lower cap of the block of cylinders: 1 – cap

Remove the lower cap of the block of cylinders (fig. 2.79).

Fig. 2.80. Installation of the special device

Install special adaptation (fig. 2.80).
Turn a bent shaft clockwise to cylinder No. 1 piston VMT.
Weaken a gas distribution mechanism drive chain.
a) Using the suitable screw-driver or the similar tool, unblock a ratchet of a natyazhitel of a chain.
b) Turn a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves clockwise, using the corresponding wrench (hexagon) and weaken a gas distribution mechanism drive chain.

Fig. 2.81. Fixing of the directing chain in the provision of easing

c) Having placed the corresponding bolt (M6 1,0 length of 25-35 mm) in an opening of the top cap of a forward cover of the engine, record a chain guide in the provision of easing (fig. 2.81).

Fig. 2.82. Fixing of cam-shafts of the drive of final valves

Record a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves, using the corresponding key (hexagon) (fig. 2.82).

Fig. 2.83. Lower cap of the block of cylinders: 1 – asterisk of a cam-shaft of inlet valves

Remove an asterisk of a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves (fig. 2.83).

Fig. 2.84. Order of weakening of bolts of a cam-shaft

Weaken cam-shaft bolts in stages in that order (fig. 2.84).

NOTE
The head of the block of cylinders and cover of bearings of a cam-shaft are numbered for simplification of their repeated installation in initial situation at assembly. After removal you hold covers together with a head of the block of cylinders from which they were removed. Do not mix a cover.

Remove a cam-shaft.
Remove a valve pusher.
Vybrerite the corresponding adjusting laying, being guided by the following scheme and records made during initial check:
new adjusting laying = the removed laying + the measured valvate gap – a standard valvate gap.
admission – 0,25 mm;
release – 0,30 mm.
The standard (on the cold engine):
admission – 0,22–0,28 mm (0.25±0.03 mm);
release – 0,27–0,33 mm (0.30±0.03 mm).
Establish a cam-shaft, the piston of the cylinder No. 1 has to be in the provision of VMT.

Fig. 2.85. Order of tightening of bolts of a cam-shaft

Tighten a cam-shaft bolt in two steps (fig. 2.85):
moment of 5,0-9,0 N · m;
moment of 14,0-17,0 N · m.
Establish an asterisk of a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves (see fig. 2.83).

NOTE
Do not tighten a bolt of an asterisk of the camshaft. At first check the moment of opening or closing of the valve, then tighten a bolt.

Fig. 2.86. Installation of special adaptation on a cam-shaft

Install special adaptation (fig. 2.86) on a cam-shaft.
Remove a bolt (M6x1,0, length of 25-35 mm) from a forward cover of the engine to pull a gas distribution mechanism drive chain.
Turn a bent shaft clockwise to cylinder No. 1 piston VMT.
Hold a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves, using a suitable wrench (hexagon) (see fig. 2.82).
Tighten a bolt of an asterisk of a cam-shaft of the drive of final valves the moment of an inhaling of 69-75 N · m.
Remove special adaptation from a cam-shaft.
Remove special adaptation from an opening of the lower cap of the block.
Turn a bent shaft clockwise on two turns to the provision of VMT. If the provision of VMT is not reached, weaken a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft and perform all operations, since installation of special adaptation (see fig. 2.80).
Apply silicon and organic sealant on the top cap of a forward cover of the engine.
Establish the top cap of a forward cover of the engine, having tightened its moment inhalings of 10 N · m.
Establish the lower cap of the block of cylinders, having tightened its moment inhalings of 18-22 N · m.
Establish a new lower cap of a forward cover of the engine, having tightened its moment inhalings of 12 N · m.
Establish the right intermediate shaft of the drive and the integrated shaft.
Establish a driving belt.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Attach a ventilation hose.
Connect the socket of the operating oil valve (OCV).
Connect a high-voltage wire.
Screw spark plugs.
Establish the right mudguard.
Establish the right wheel.
